britannia-new_2

Our spurtles are made from the finest quality Burmese teak stored by the Royal Navy as decking for the Royal yacht and disposed of when the Royal Yacht was de-commisioned.   Scottish spurtles were traditionally  bought as a wedding gift for the new bride. the Spurtles are made in Scotland and unlike spurtles made with soft woods these are rock hard aged creations with historic connections.

QUEENS JUBILEE 300

We have gathered over the years historic material including WW1 sniper plates, Concorde drive shafts, the timber from the York engine sheds and all manner of other material. Over twenty five years we have sourced and kept ideas and physical material and we have even come to savor rust almost as works of art. Your can see some of our efforts on our web sites and that range of unique quality items will be further added to over the coming year with pieces made to commemorate the Queens Platinum Jubilee.

Stockton & Darlington 275 jpg

The 200th Anniversary of the Stockton and Darlington Railway is commemorated with this Sheffield pocket knives which uses timber from the York Engine sheds for its grips. This Railway memorabilia  has a fine connection with Railway history in that it combines a Yorkshire knife with the other historic industrial Yorkshire achievement namely the Stockton and Darlington.
